CRA Union Dues Deduction Review

Have you received a letter from CRA asking to review your annual union dues deduction receipt?? Not to worry. Send in a copy of a your UA Local 170 dues tax statement (which was mailed out the membership in February) and this should be sufficient. The union dues statement contains all the information required. As most people submit their taxes online, CRA does not have a copy of your union dues receipt and may request that you submit the receipt to verify the amount claimed.
