We continue to put our efforts in lobbying government and WorkSafe to ensure that our worksites are safe. We are requesting that you report any unsafe work conditions to WorkSafe 604-276-3100 (Lower Mainland) or 1-888-621-SAFE. Provincial Guidelines for Construction Sites Operating during COVID-19 can be found on our website. We have received reports that WCB now has 90 enforcement officers out inspecting construction sites and enforcing compliance. Staff on the WCB prevention line have been increased from 6 people to 30.
WCB compensation is available when there is a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19; however, the requirements are set high. More information can be found at the following links:
