The Provincial government earlier this year appointed a Panel to conduct a comprehensive review the Labour Relations Code. This process is long overdue with the last comprehensive review taking place in 2003 when significant changes were made that significantly weakened the ability of workers to unionize their workplace(s). UA Local 170 has been active in this process and has submitted recommendations aimed at restoring fairness to labour code and to workers in our province.
