The Vancouver District & Labour Council is offering two scholarships to attend the 2019 CLC Harrison Winter School

VDLC Scholarship (funding from VDLC’s Anita Yan Memorial Law Program)

The Vancouver and District Labour Council is again offering a scholarship to any active VDLC delegate to attend the 2019 CLC Harrison Winter School.  The  award covers the full $980.00 registration (including shared room accommodation and meals), plus up to $1,000.00 for wage replacement, if required, to ensure time off work. Please note that leave of absence arrangements are the responsibility of the individual and their union.  The eligibility criteria and application form for the VDLC Scholarship can be found here.

VDLC Women’s Committee Scholarship

The Vancouver and District Labour Council Women’s Committee is offering a scholarship to any VDLC women delegates to attend the 2019 CLC Harrison Winter School.  The scholarship applies to a course at the Winter School that is designed to build leadership skills and knowledge among women labour activists.  The award covers the full $980.00 registration (including shared room accommodation and meals), plus up to $1,000.00 for wage replacement, if required, to ensure time off work.
