Unions have made life better for all workers by helping to pass legislation, such as establishing the eight (8) hour work day, protecting workers safety and health and helping create unemployment insurance and the minimum wage.
As a union member, it is our primary mission according to the UA Constitution, to organize all of the workers in our trade. UA Local 170 is committed to organizing all unorganized workers in the pipefitting industry in order to preserve and improve the lives of workers in our province.
