- ICBC monthly payments may be deferred up to 90 days without penalty – call 604-661-2723 or 1-800-665-6442
- BC Hydro bill may be deferred up to six months 1-800-BCHYDRO
- Grants of up to $600 are available to BC Hydro customers experiencing job loss, illness or lost wages due to COVID-19 through Hydro’s Customer Crisis Fund
- Major banks are offering mortgage deferrals for up to six months, please contact the union office if you require an employment letter
- Starting March 30, 2020 BC student loan repayments are automatically frozen for six months
- The Provincial
government announced a set of measures to support renters and landlords
yesterday. They include:
- halting new and active evictions, except for exceptional circumstances;
- a new temporary rental supplement of up to $500 per month
- freezing of annual rent increases
