UA Local 170 welcomes the final investment decision on LNG Canada Phase 2 in Kitimat.
Our Business Manager Al Phillips was pleased to be on hand for the announcement in Vancouver that LNG Canada Phase 2 now has the green light.
This is a massive investment in our province and in our country!
Our members were a driving force in making LNG Canada Phase 1 a reality. Their hard work and expertise resulted in the successful project you see today. And now there’s more work to do on this important piece of nation-building.
It took a lot of legwork from the provincial government, federal government and from private investors to get this project to a final investment decision and we thank them for their efforts.
We look forward to seeing UA Local 170 members working on this project by late-2027!
