Including our union, this coalition represents more than 7,000 people who work directly in BC’s marine industry.
Building the next ferries at home will not only have significant direct and indirect economic benefits for the province, but it will also ensure that ferries can be more easily repaired in BC.
The United Association Piping Industry College of BC was proud to host today’s press conference.
The Build Them Here coalition is asking members of the public to join the campaign and send a letter to BC Ferries telling them to build the next fleet of ferries in B.C.
