It was a pleasure for UA 170 Assistant Business Manager Jeff Chapman to join Premier David Eby and the leadership of signatory contractor Jewel Welding Fabrication and Coatings as the Premier announced $2 million in funding that will help Jewel expand its production in Maple Ridge.
The funding will create as many as 45 jobs, strengthen local supply chains and reduce reliance on out-of-province suppliers. This is great news for UA 170 members and for the industry as a whole!
