It was an exciting (and sometimes challenging) day at the Great World Championship Bathtub Race in Nanaimo!
Our racers worked valiantly to traverse the course, but couldn’t overcome the difficult conditions. Ryan’s engine had troubles that stopped him from finishing the race. Anthony’s tub stalled and capsized. Thankfully, both are safe and sound.
Not only did UA 170 have two racers in the competition, not only did we sponsor the event and not only did we produce the livestream of the event…we were honoured with an amazing award!
Team UA Local 170 is the 2026 recipient of the Bob Pedersen Memorial Sportsmanship Award! We take great pride in contributing to the bathtubbing community and helping out anyone who needs it!
