UA 170’s big weekend at the Nanaimo Bathtub Races

UA 170 had a hugely successful weekend at the Great World Championship Bathtub Race in Nanaimo. Our local sponsored the event and had two competitors in the race.

Congratulations to our legendary Bathtub Race pilots. Organizer Ryan King and UAPIC instructor Anthony Morgan braved the elements and the punishing 58-kilometre (31-nautical-mile) course to successfully finish the race.

According to preliminary results on the website, Ryan finished 11th and Anthony finished 14th. Only 27 of the 42 competitors who started the race finished it. These guys did UA 170 proud!

A big shout out to the team that supported the racers. They built the vessels and gave their time and efforts to make the weekend a smashing success!
